The Walk is a daily devotion app from The Mighty Throne Ministries. This page says, in plain words, what we keep about you, who can see it, and how to remove it.
What we keep
Your name and verified email address, from your Google sign-in. We never see your Google password.
Your answers to the setup questions, including anything you type in your own words, and the plan we build from them.
Which days of your plan you have marked as walked.
Questions you type or speak to Ask or to The Room.
Messages you post in a Gather group. Everyone in that group can read them.
If you turn on reminders: the time you chose, your time zone, and your email address.
Notes you write on a day stay on your own device. We do not receive them.
Why we keep it
To run your Walk, build your plan, show your progress, and send the reminders you asked for.
To keep people safe, including Gather groups.
We do not sell your information. We do not show ads or use your information for advertising.
Other services that help us
Anthropic (Claude): when you ask a question in Ask, The Room or a Gather group, the text of your question and the nearby conversation is sent to an AI service to write the answer. AI answers are not a pastor, and they can be wrong.
ElevenLabs and Microsoft: the text of a devotion or prayer is sent to a voice service to turn it into audio. Your device can also read text aloud itself.
Your browser may turn your voice into text when you use the microphone button. Its maker may process that audio. Only the words you choose to send reach us.
Google: sign-in. Resend: sends reminder emails. Vercel and Neon: host the app and its database. bible-api.com: provides Scripture text (we send only the passage reference).
Who can see what
You can see your own information.
Members of a Gather group can see the messages posted in that group.
Leaders can see names, email addresses and journey stages. Leaders who review reports can see a reported message and a little of what was said around it.
Your private questions to Ask and The Room are not shown to other members.
If someone may be in danger
The app looks for words that suggest a person may be in danger or hurting themselves. When it finds them, it shows support resources, such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the US, and does not pass the message on to a group.
It may also tell a leader that this happened. That alert does not include your name or what you wrote.
The Walk is not a crisis service. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number.
Reminders and email
Reminders are off until you turn them on in More, then Reminders. Every email has a Stop link that works with one tap, and you can turn them off in the app any time.
If you stop walking for a while, we send a few gentle welcome-back notes and then we stop.
Keeping and deleting
In Ask and The Room, "Delete my questions" removes your questions.
In More, then Delete my account, you can erase your account. That removes your profile, plan, progress, questions, reminder settings and the messages you posted in groups, and leaves any group you joined. Groups you started are closed.
A few things are kept on purpose: a record of actions taken in the app, which holds anonymous ids and action names but no names or message text, and any report about a message that is still waiting for a leader, which is made anonymous.
Children
The Walk is for people 18 and older. If you are younger, please wait, or ask a leader of The Mighty Throne Ministries how you can take part safely. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We use one cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
